We seek one scholar or other visitor to stay with us this Spring. Your beautiful room has a queen-sized bed, a desk, a fridge, drawers and closet space for your clothes, a large mirror, linens, plenty of heat, plenty of light, and DSL.
You share bath with tub, shower, and good water pressure with three other people.
You also have access to a great kitchen, laundry, den, backyard, and patio.
This house is in a friendly, quiet neighborhood with an astonishing array of amenities. See http://Bunk-in-Berkeley.com/neigh_map.html.
Room I
This sunny room, available next Spring, is the largest in our house at approximately 13 x 16 feet. It has five windows, a coffered ceiling, an arched doorway, a tiled non-working fireplace surround, and so on.
Although two other people live in the house, our rooms are at the back of the house and your room is at the front.

Room II
This is also a lovely room, available next Spring. The two windows look out on greenery, and the room is at the back of the house, away from the street. Although this room is a bit smaller than the other room, it has some snazzy amenities. Both rooms are great.

Rent for Room I is $743 per month and shared utilities, Rent for Room II is $693 per month and shared utilities, and a security deposit is required.
Part time, i.e. here on weekdays only, is fine.
Sorry, no pets. Each room is for one non-smoking human only.
Strongly prefer a full time worker or scholar. Visitors to the Bay Area are welcome.
There is reliable on-street parking next to the house. Nearby are BART and buses. We are one BART stop from campus, and it takes me about seven minutes between campus and here by bike.
Here are the answers to some questions I am often asked:
* We have lived here twenty-three years.
* We are not sweehearts.
* One of us is an editor and the other cares for pets, sometimes at their homes, and sometimes here. (So sometimes there will be a polite dog here, and we can't rent to someone who has a pet of her own.)
* The editor is a woman and the dog guy is a man.
* We try to keep things neat, and we clean every week.
* One of us is LIII and the other is LXIII.
* We are friendly, but not overbearing, and like wordplay. One of us is a smarty-pants. At least one.
Please tell us a bit about yourself: for example, where you work or study, the dates you would like to stay (more or less), where you're living now, and so forth. To make sure I see your mail, please use the words 'Julia guest Spring' in the subject of the mail.
Thanks!
